How to Convert Percentage to GPA and CGPA for Applications

Quick answer: there is no single official formula that converts percentage into GPA, because each university and country uses its own scale. Is there a standard formula to convert percentage to GPA?

No. A mark of 80 percent may be an A at one institution and a B+ at another. Some boards publish their own conversion tables, and some universities ask you to use an evaluation service. Always check the table of the institution that will read your result. If none is given, use the grade scale printed on your transcript.

How is GPA calculated from grades?

How do you work out the grade needed to reach a target CGPA?

Compute the grade points you need in total, then subtract what you already have. If your CGPA is 3.2 after 60 credits, you have 192 grade points. To reach 3.4 after 75 credits you need 255 points, so you need 63 points from 15 new credits, which is an average of 4.2. That is above 4.0, so 3.4 is impossible in that window.
